NOON Doggie Parade
11AM & 12:30 Small Dog Treat Seek
11:45 & 1:15 Large Dog Treat Seek
A Food vendor will also be on-site so you can get a Hot Dog! So come hungry and enjoy the food!
The Categories for the Prizes in the Doggie Parade are as follows:
- Is your Dog the coolest dog around?
- Best Dressed Male Dog
- Best Dressed Female Dog
- Most likely to get wet
Admission is $7.00 per Dog

We will have refreshments for both humans and dogs as well as an opportunity to have a picture made with your dog.

The Johnson City Dog Association in Partnership with Johnson City Parks and Recreation, St. John's Episcopal Church, and Wesley Memorial United Methodist has made available to its members and the public 2 Pet Blessing opportunities
When: Sunday October 7th, 3PM
Where: Winged Deer Park (Lakeside)
Information: The public is invited and all pets are welcome to be blessed. We encourage even the large and exotic pets including snakes and horses. However, all pets must be on leads or in cages. We ask that all cats be brought in carriers. If you have a pet that is unable to attend please come and bring a picture to be blessed. We will have volunteers present to help direct you and your pet to the appropriate place to participate. The event will include simple music and a homily followed by the blessing of all pets present. An offering will be received at the entrance with all proceeds going to the Johnson City Animal Shelter. Monetary donations as well as donations of pet food will be accepted. Where: Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 225 Princeton Road, Johnson City, TN
Information: The Blessing of the Animals is a Service in which we gather to Honor and celebrate all creatures of God’s creation and the special relationship we share with them. Animals must be in a carrier or on a leash. Each animal will receive a blessing. If you are unable to bring your pet, you may bring a photo of your animal. Local animal groups and/or vendors will be here to hand out information. For more information, please contact Missy Wright at 282-6722.
